A two-day event located in downtown Poughkeepsie, NY in the heart of the Hudson Valley which attracts approximately 25,000 people each year. This event is designed for children and their families to come together and enjoy interactive, hands-on learning experiences in a fun, safe, educational day for 25,000 children, their families and elected officials along with 250 volunteers and 150 business leaders. People from all parts of the Mid-Hudson Valley including Dutchess, Orange, Ulster, Putnam, Rockland, Columbia, Sullivan, Rockland and Westchester Counties come to this event!

About the Coalition
The Mid-Hudson Children's Museum (MHCM) is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3
organization, chartered by the New York State Department of Education in
1989. We are dedicated to the enhancement of learning opportunities for
children. MHCM enjoys a rich history of providing both school hour and non
school hour programming using interactive exhibits and services that both
educate and fascinate children, families and teachers.
MHCM strives to reach children of all backgrounds and abilities, with a
target age for exhibits and programs of 0-12 years. Over 60,000 residents,
families, school groups and tourists are served each year though our
exhibits, guided tours, workshops, live performances, playgroups, summer
camp, teen volunteer program and after school program, birthday parties,
outreach programs and community festivals.
"Our Mission is to enlighten minds through a fun and creative learning
environment where hands-on experiences spark curiosity, discovery and the
joy of exploration."
Jewish Community Center of Dutchess County (the JCC) mission is to provide outstanding educational, cultural, social, and recreational programs and services for individuals and families of all ages. The Dutchess County JCC serves as the hub for these services and provisions to its members, the Jewish community, and the wider Dutchess County community and its vicinity.The Dutchess County JCC mission is accomplished through an organization focusing on three areas:
- Social programming, which is perhaps most pertinent initiative of the Dutchess County JCC, features a diverse array of educational, cultural, social, and recreational programs. For example, the Dutchess County JCC offers a weekly Lunch and Learn program for seniors, financial education, jewelry-making workshops, a book fair, travel seminars, dance classes, a knitting club, Tai Kwon Do, and Yoga.
- The Early Childhood Education program features playgroup for 2-3 years-olds in addition to a terrific pre-kindergarten and kindergarten programs. Additionally, camps are offered during the recesses in the winter, spring and summer.
- The Athletic Facility contains a full gymnasium, a fitness center equipped with state-of-the-art weight training
equipment, and a 20-yard heated indoor pool that accommodates daily lap swimmers, recreating families, water exercise classes, swim instruction for all ages, and a team of competitive swimmers.
REHAB Programs, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides quality educational, vocational, residential and clinical services to over 2,000 of our neighbors with disabilities throughout the Mid-Hudson Area. Our mission has always been about providing assistance that empowers people to make informed decisions about the course of their life, care and career. Today, we pride ourselves on the network of community support and partnerships that help make a real difference in the lives of our neighbors with disabilities. Our vision for the future is to continue adapting and expanding our services to provide growth opportunities for those we serve. The Dutchess County YMCA has been serving the community since 1863 and is the 100th oldest YMCA in the United States. Over the years the facility locations have changed, but the YMCA mission has remained the same. The YMCA is committed to improving the quality of life for the children and adults it serves.
